A weird experience....

Okay, I thought I'd randomly blog so that I could waste some time before I have a shower and get ready for my day. xP I would like to point out that this experience caused me to not sleep well last night.

So yesterday, I went to the park with one of my friends. It took us a LONG time to try and actually get there, due to the fact that the trail we take isn't actually our property. My neighbor owns all this land by a park, and we walk through there to go to this park. See, this plan would usually be fool-proof because
A) He doesn't go down there much.
B) I don't think he'd mind.
C) We kind-of-ish know him.
So, that day, of ALL DAYS he decides to be down there. We can't just randomly walk through with him there, so we knelt down in the bushes and waited for him to leave to get more supplies. (he was raking leaves and such)
Once he left for a minute, we darted down into the woods and off to the park.
We hung out there for a while, and then got bored and came back. We thought by at that time he would have been gone and back at his house. But oh no, that'd be too easy. He was literally JUST coming down taking a strange lady for a tour of the property.
My friend was ahead of me, and I saw him but couldn't yell out "HE'S THERE!!!" because that may have been a bit to obvious. So, she saw him, turned back and we darted behind some trees.
Once we had made a careful plan, we saw they were coming REALLY close to where we were, and realized the "duck behind trees until we get to the shed, then when they are turned around run up and into the ditch" plan wasn't going to work. There was a trail by us, that lead deep, deep down into the woods. But since we knew all this area, we knew another way to get up by taking this way.
So, we run down there, just in time.
Once we were down there for about 20 minutes, we looked around to see if we could see the people up on the property. We couldn't, but something caught my eye in a tree. It was a HUGE owl.
And I mean HUGE. It was a ragged old animal, sitting probably 20 feet off the ground on a fat branch in a birch tree. Abby, my friend, thought it would be funny to make hooting noises at the animal.
Oh Abby, always the smart one. So, she starts "HOOT HOOT MEOW" (yes she meowed)
And then, just then.....
it turns his head in a full circle, turns it down in our direction, and stares at us for a pure 5 minutes.
It was so creepy. It's eyes are like, I don't even know. And the other thing is that it was facing away from us, and so it's head was basically backwards on it's body.
This happened about 10 times, we were amused by being scared at the sight of the owls eyes starring down at us.
Then Abby, yes oh that smart one, decides to pretend to be a mouse in the leaves.
So she gets a big stick, and begins to poke it around in the leaves like a mouse.
The owl turns around super fast, and glares down at us.
It fixed the grip it had on the old tree and glared down for a couple minutes.
I look away, hoping Abby wouldn't make any more noises.
Then I hear her scream "IT'S FLYING!"
And we collapse to the ground screaming like little babies.
The owl took off flying, yes, but not at us. I guess it got bored of looking down at two weird kids, well, being weird.
We got back up, noticed it was gone, then had a 20 minute laugh attack and nothing.

And yeah, that's my story. Wonder why I couldn't sleep?
I can't get that really, really creepy image of the owl looking down at us out of my head.
